  • Understand key changes of the leasing guidance as compared to ASC 840.

  • Apply the lease principles, including identifying the appropriate accounts and calculating the correct amounts for journal entries.

  • Comprehend considerations for lessee accounting and related disclosure requirements.

  • Identify tools and resources to assist in the evaluation of leases for a reporting entity.

CPE DETAILS

Participants will earn 1.5 CPE credits

Field of Study: Accounting
Prerequisites: A basic understanding of U.S. GAAP and at least 2 years of accounting experience
Advanced Preparation: None
Program level: Intermediate
Delivery Method: Group live – in-person

Embark is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.NASBARegistry.org.

Record Retention Policy
Embark will maintain participant information in its CPE database for a period of five (5) years.

Program Cancellation Policy
Embark may at its discretion cancel a course program, delay a course program offering, or replace a previously announced course program with a course program of similar content. For external participants, Embark will make every effort to provide sufficient notification of a change of title or cancellation via e-mail to registered participants or via other marketing communications.  Embark reserves the right to substitute speakers in the case of instructor illness or other unforeseen circumstances.

Due to this program being offered free of charge, there will be no refunds issued.

Complaint Resolution Policy
Embark will resolve complaints or answer questions regarding course programs or CPE Certification questions in a professional and timely manner for both internal and external participants.  Any complaints may be sent to cpe@embarkwithus.com and Embark will respond as soon as possible.
